Sandy McMurray of the Globe and Mail has identified some of the top iPad applications for small business owners.
Apple's iPad has been on the market for two months, and Canadian small business owners are finding more and more ways to use the device. The Globe and Mail's Sandy McMurray recently offered her list of the best iPad applications for small business.
McMurray calls Keynote for iPad "presentation software done right." This application allows users to create and transform slides, resize photos and add effects to their presentations, all using the iPad's touchscreen. Presentations can be shown on the screen itself or through a connected projector.
Dropbox is another app McMurray recommends. This free tool allows files to be shared between the iPad, iPhone and computer by automatically adding them to a Dropbox folder across all of the devices. Synchronized cloud storage is also offered.
Finally, McMurray suggests Things for iPad, a "to-do list on steroids" that helps manage projects and tasks. This application "provides a great balance of power and simplicity," she writes.
Small business owners who love their Apple devices got exciting news this week when Steve Jobs officially unveiled the iPhone 4 at the company's annual conference. The phone has a sleeker design, longer battery life and higher-resolution screen.
