It's cheaper than ever to start your own business
Starting a business has long been a dream for many Canadians, however some get discouraged by the costs associated with it - but not any more.
Bizlaunch.ca recently released a report detailing ways for eager business professionals to start their own business operations for just $1,000. With the uncertainty of the job market in recent years, the best place to start looking for a job may be in the mirror, according to the site.
For starters, the site suggests registering a business name with the government and then applying for a Master Business License. The whole process of name registration will cost the entrepreneur $99, but can be an important first step in achieving an identity.
In order to further create a "brand", it is important to come up with a memorable name, slogan and logo. In order to achieve this, BizLaunch recommends hiring a freelance professional designer for around $200. Given the ability to work from anywhere, small business' startup costs can often pale in comparison to years past.
Many people in Canada believe they have what it takes to run their own small business. According to a poll by Intuit, nearly two-thirds of entrepreneurs believe they are capable of coming up with an effective business idea and 55 percent believe they are capable of promoting it in a successful way.
