One of the leading technology companies in Canada recently took home big honors, when it received one of the greatest distinctions at the annual Canadian Innovation Exchange conference.

BlueCat Networks was named Canada’s Hottest Innovative Company in 2010, chosen from the more than 200 companies that applied. A panel of more than 26 experts was put together in order to determine which companies deserved prizes at this year's event and then handed them the award at the live event in Toronto.

"Congratulations to all of our showcasing companies for dazzling us with their spectacular presentations and their achievements in new technologies," said Robert Montgomery, Co-Chair of the Canadian Innovation Exchange, and CEO of First Maximilian and Achilles Media.

"These companies reflect the forward-thinking creativity and continual innovation that Canadian businesses have to offer," Montgomery continued. "BlueCat Networks is a world leader in DDI technology and represents the very best of Canadian innovation – making it an ideal choice as Canada’s Hottest Innovative ICT Company for 2010."

BlueCat made other headlines when it announced a partnership with Temple University. The company will provide DDI technology to the Philadelphia-based institution.
