By utilizing both traditional and non-traditional marketing techniques, business owners can maximize ROI

Canadian small business owners are often an innovative bunch - what they lack in funds, they make up for with ideas. A new article from the Globe and Mail suggests that Canadian small business owners may want to use that open-minded approach when designing their next marketing campaign.

The article encourages small business owners to think outside of the box when trying to come up with a way to market their products and services. While it admits there is nothing wrong with traditional marketing conventions, new approaches could breed better results.

The Globe and Mail brings up the example of a company trying to sell male beauty supplies. While a conventional business owner may advertise on TV, radio, and print, a creative business owner may try distributing the product for free at locations that men frequent.

For small business owners that also want to utilize traditional advertising methods, a recent article from Inc. Magazine recommends that they buy remnant advertising space to maximize their marketing budget.
