Business owners in the Western Interlake Planning District of Manitoba will soon have an easier way to obtain necessary permits, thanks to a deal signed by the government.
In a recent announcement, James Bezan, a Parliament member for Selkirk-Interlake, on behalf of Rob Moore, minister of state for small business and tourism and the honourable Peter Bjornson, minister of entrepreneurship training and trade for Manitoba, said that businesses would benefit from the deal signed with BizPaL.
The service allows small business owners to have an easier time getting the permits and licenses they needed to conduct business in the area.
"Through Canada's Economic Action Plan, our government is demonstrating a strong commitment to small and medium-sized businesses by improving access to financing, reducing taxes and cutting the red tape that businesses face every day," said Mr. Bezan. "BizPaL is a great example of our government's hard work to support Canadian businesses as they innovate, create jobs and generate wealth in our communities."
Other communities have added BizPal to their permit system. The City of Salmon Arm in British Columbia also signed up to allow businesses to access permits online
