According to one recent small business survey, connectivity is among the most important issues to entrepreneurs throughout Canada.

The latest Angus Reid survey, which queried 1,005 small business owners throughout the country, found that 69 percent of small and medium business professionals had connectivity outside of work. Additionally, it found that 70 percent said that the ability to connect from a remote location was able to make them more efficient workers, in the study commissioned by HP Canada.

"Mobility is the driving force between new technology products and services,” said HP Canada's vice president Leyland Brown in an interview with IT Business Canada. "By the end of 2013, one-third of the world's population will be online, and it's this whole mobility trend that's a big driving force of possibility for SMB owners. The pace of business process outsourcing (BPO) will continue to accelerate as large firms cut costs and focus on core business,"

While many small business owners are increasingly using cloud computing to achieve more profits, many worry about security. In another recent survey by Angus Reid, 54 percent of entrepreneurs said that they were worried about keeping their IT networks secure.
