Young entrepreneurs throughout Canada are taking advantage of their knowledge of the internet, and are finding a fair amount of success along the way.
One of the youngest business people to use the internet is Nicholas MacLeod, who was only 13-years old when he began his web design business, Canada.com reports. The young business professional, who is now 20, runs Future Web Design and helps small business owners develop an online presence.
"I did a lot of reading online about what one needs to know about starting a business and then I just taught myself as I went along," he says.
"There are more and more businesses that are looking to take their company online in order to generate more revenue," said MacLeod, a third year student at the University of Prince Edward Island, in an interview with the site. "It's very exciting watching customers be able to generate sales online."
The younger generation has an advantage over their older counterparts based on the fact that they've grown up with the internet.
